After the huge sucess of his Concerto, composed for the Final in 2006, we are very happy to announce that Emmanuel Sejourne will write the set piece for the 2nd round in the 2012 edition !
The piece will be available for all candidates to order from this webpage by January 2012!

Every year few of the about 1000 participants of the 'International Summer Academy Salzburg' are selected to perform a concert together in the frame of the world-famous 'Salzburg Festival', which is recorded and broadcasted by the national Austrian classical radio station....

Few competitiors ranked highest in the second round (except of the chosen finalists) will have the opportunity to perform a concert together at the renowned 'Schlosskonzerte' at Schloss Höch close to Salzburg city in Salzburg region (Flachau) in the Austrian Alps. Travel and food will be....
The Int. Marimba Competition Salzburg can offer the participants in 2012's edition a new and very exciting feature:
Participants will be able to listen to Masterclasses and daily Concerts of Lecturers of the 'Int. Summer Academy Mozarteum Salzburg' during the competition's period for free!
